The ImpoSTer adapter is a USB keyboard/mouse emulator for the Atari ST/STE/MegaST/MegaSTE/TT and Falcon computers to allow USB keyboards and mice to be used. It plugs into the keyboard port of the Atari and has a passthrough port for attaching the original keyboard. The ImpoSTer also features two DB9 joystick ports, with port0 being able to use both joystick and original Atari mice. It also allows USB hubs.
The ImpoSTer also can attach to a PC and allow an Atari Keyboard/Mouse/Joysticks to be used on a PC. In this mode the Atari computer connection is disabled, and the side mini-USB port is used to plug into the PC.
The mini-USB port by default is used for power. A jumper on the ImpoSTer can be added so that the Atari can power the ImpoSTer, but attention should be paid to the current draw that is consumed by the USB devices.
NOTE: The mini-USB port is shared with the top most USB-A port. If you are powering the device from the mini-USB port, ensure that only power is provided, and not a data connection as this can conflict with the top USB-A port.
